The 2012 Knives Illustrated Buyer’s Guide recently landed and we’re happy to report that Gerber has received some great billing! For starters, the Gator Machete Pro appears on the cover striking a bold image and a prime logo placement. However, the fun really begins as you turn the pages to find the review of the ‘five best all-around knives for the beat and patrol’ written by law enforcement veteran Clint Thompson and featuring the Gerber Answer XL.
Given props for it’s smooth, fast assisted opening feature and workhorse Tanto blade concludes the Answer XL ‘is a well-designed knife that feels good in your hand’.
