The August 2013 issue of Outside Magazine, their “Design and Tech Special”, focused on “Game-Changing Gear Innovations”….and we're proud to report that Gerber placed not one, or two products in the mix, but three stalwart models from the new GDC collection, the GDC Tech Skin Pocket Knife, GDC Hex and GDC Driver.
Our products appeared in a spread under the heading “Transformers”, which was introduced as follows: “From self-focusing cameras to a wood bike, the most innovative products of 2013 are changing the way we play.”
Other high-end, high-profile products featured in this spread (not pictured here) included Rossingnol’s Super 7 skis, Petzl’s Sirocco helmet, New Balance’s Minums Hi-Res running shoes and Patagonia’s Belay parka among others, but in this heady, pre-eminent company, we are again the only brand with more than one product. A perfect illustration that while the GDC products are smaller in stature, they are in the league with the big boys. Game on!
